Many bachelor parties are straying away from the stripfest and with golf being a very popular sport for groups a lot of guys are planning their tee times. Here are 5 great places to play that include courses where pros have their tournaments. So dust off your bag, clubs and star hitting the driving range.
- Pebble Beach, CA - One of the few where the US open is played along with the ATT. In 2010 they are the host of the US open. Pebble is very difficult to play so make sure when you book it ask for a caddy. A caddy is important to have they know the course in and out and see things you will never. Take my word for it I made the mistake not getting a caddy the round was good but could have been great. PB offer great stay and play deals check the Pebble Beach Resorts out for that. There are many other place to stay including Monterrey, Carmel and Pacific Grove.
- Bandon, Ore. - Bandon Dunes is true to the spirit of Scotland’s ancient links. Here, players immerse themselves in the traditions of a timeless game and the grandeur of Oregon’s rugged coast. At Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, you'll find four distinctly different courses built on a beautiful stretch of sand dunes perched 100 feet above the Pacific Ocean. They offer 4 great courses Bandon Dunes, Pacific Dunes, Bandon Trails and coming soon Old Macdonald. All of these courses will test all the golf skills you have or thought you had. Fees are reasonable and all inclusive packages are available all year round. Caddies are recommended because many of you guys have never played a true Scottish style links course. So leave the your 60 degee at home and start practicing your bump and run! You can not go wrong with Brandon Dunes Resort!
- Pinehurst Resort, NC - Situated in Golf Country North Carolina, Pinehurst resort is inviting with its history and southern hospitality, awesome accommodations, luxury spa facilities and of course, any one of their eight pristine world-class golf courses. This is the site of more championships than any other golf course in the country. The resort includes eight (8) 18-hole golf courses designed by such legends as Ross, Jones, Fazio and Maples. This includes Pinehurst No. 2, our championship course that will host the 2014 U.S. Open. Prices are reasonable considering the type of courses you will be playing.
- Florida - too many great courses to places to choose from so here's a few we think will challenge your A game. PGA National Resort & Spa national headquarters of the PGA, is a premier golf destination with five 18-hole courses.
- Palm Springs, CA - This place boasts about how many golf courses they have and it's true. There are many courses for different levels of play and budgets. There are also many restaurants, bars and clubs to keep you going into the evening. Some of our favorite course are Desert Willow Golf Resort (lots of Bunkers), PGA West (Nicklau, Plamer, Norman and TPC Stadium, La Quinta Mountain and Dunes Course.
